Who should attend? … Prior course participants have included faculty, post docs, grad students, staff, and industry researchers.

What are the prerequisites? … This course does not provide instruction in the basics of the command line and R for bioinformatics. To get the most out of the workshop, consider enrolling in one of our introduction to CLI or R courses!

What do I need to bring? … You will need to have access to a computer with a good internet connection, an application that will allow you to ssh into a server (e.g. Bash for Windows, or Terminal for Apple), and a recent installation of R and Rstudio. 

How much does it cost? … The registration fee is $1,000 for UC students, postdocs, staff and faculty, $1,200 for Non-UC academic or non-profit participants and $1,700 for other participants.

Where is the workshop? … It will be held entirely online, and will run from 9:00am to 5:00pm on the dates indicated.

How do I apply? … All registration is “first-come, first-served.” There is no application process. Sign up as soon as possible to ensure your place in the workshop.
