A Hands-On Demo of the Kids First Data Resource Portal

Thursday, Feb 11, from 10:00 am-12:00 pm PST.
Instructors: Saranya Canchi and Marisa Lim (UC Davis/Common Fund Data Ecosystem)

Description:

Are you interested in the genetics of pediatric diseases? Find out more about the NIH Common Fund-supported Gabriella Miller Kids First Data Resource Portal, the largest comprehensive resource for pediatric diseases including cancer and structural birth defects.

In this free two hour free workshop, we will walk through their Data Resource Portal, which hosts data from over 14,000 samples including DNA, RNA, and other data types. The hands-on demo will be followed by time for discussion on the next steps to use Kids First data in your own research.

This workshop will be conducted remotely via Zoom. The workshop Zoom link will be emailed after registration closes (Feb 5th). Participants should plan to fill out a brief survey before and after the workshop.
