Aviation Noise & Emissions Symposium will host two trainings before the symposium. These trainings are a separate registration fee from the full symposium. These trainings occur simultaneously, so you can only sign up for one. They are a separate fee of $95 each. Trainings will occur Sunday, March 1st from 12:30pm - 4:15pm

Noise 101

Learn about noise issues in the Aviation Sector. We will go over the history of noise in aviation, basic noise metrics, regulations, how to quantify aircraft noise, abatement, communications and tools used by the industry.

FAA & Environmental Reviews 101

This training session will provide an overview of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA); describe the different types of environmental reviews conducted by the FAA to comply with NEPA; explain how noise and emissions are considered as part of environmental reviews; clarify the roles of different FAA offices and lines of business in meeting NEPA requirements and setting policies for the agency; and answer frequently asked questions about the NEPA process.
