TARGET CAPTURE FOR NGS
Learn about Agilent's custom technologies that accelerate discoveries.
SPEAKER: Chitra Kotwaliwale, Ph.D, Product Manager, Human and Reproductive Genetics, Agilent Technologies, Inc.
Chitra manages Agilent’s OneSeq Target Enrichment product portfolio. Prior to joining Agilent, Chitra worked as a computational biologist in several successful Bay Area startups. Chitra holds a Ph.D. in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of Washington. She did her postdoctoral fellowship at the UC Berkeley and is a recipient of the prestigious Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation postdoctoral award.
ABSTRACT:
Coding regions represent only ~2% of the human genome. Targeted resequencing enables sequencing of only the regions of interest. To enable targeted resequencing, Agilent developed SureSelect Target Enrichment, the first hybrid-capture method to enrich regions of interest for Next Generation Sequencing. This highly versatile platform has been used to sequence coding regions and other regions of interest across a wide variety of organisms. In this presentation, we will discuss the capabilities of the SureSelect Target Enrichment platform and highlight new technologies for an array of applications.
